Suzy

Suzy is a beautiful approximately 2 year old tri-color
English Setter. When she first came to us in Vermont
from Kentucky, she was very shy and refused even
to go outside! However, once she adjusted to the
change in climate and home, she has really
blossomed. She has learned the doggie doors and
Invisible Fence system. She is very interested in birds,
and would like to climb trees to catch the squirrels!

She was apparently found wandering around in the
Appalachian Mountains before she was rescued in
Kentucky and eventually sent to Vermont for
fostering. Her first foster home in Kentucky worked a
lot on basic obedience and house training. She has
made progress in her house training, and now has
only occasional accidents in the house.

She loves attention and having her ears rubbed! She
walks well on an Easy Leader Harness, but she’s quite
a handful with just a leash and collar, even though
she weighs just 36 pounds. Like most setters, she
loves running fast outside, and is usually a quiet girl
inside. However, she can be a bit chewy, and
appropriate chew toys should be provided in order to
spare shoes and other things that can reach her lips!

She is spayed, heartworm negative and has had her
first Lyme vaccine & is up to date on her shots. Suzy
is a real heart stealer – won’t you let her steal yours?
