We adopted Sammy about 1 1/2 months ago from a
shelter in VA. Sammy is about 5 years old and was
not neutered. He was evidently an outdoor dog
that wasn't used to being in the house. He was not
house trained and at first marked all over. After he
was neutered he stopped marking and he was
getting the house training. He got along great with
our other dog. I tried to work with him on
obedience and tried to crate train him but he did not
do well in a crate. He would do well if he had a more
quiet home with no children or cats. He has a sweet
personality otherwise. He even got so he "smiled" at
me in greeting. He is heartworm negative and
vaccinated.
