RI Missy

Missy is a very happy go lucky field type English
Setter.  She is approximately 1-1/2 years old and
certainly acts it!  She is in constant motion.  She is
very sweet but hasn't completely gotten the whole
idea of proper manners yet so she will need training,
as any puppy does, to reach her full potential.

She is used to other dogs but tends to be a little too
straightforward about initiating play.  She could easily
become the alpha female in a group if allowed.   Either
a home as an only dog or a home with another low
key somewhat submissive dog would be ideal.

Missy is spayed and UTD on shots.  Despite her
abundant supply of puppy energy, she will be a fast
learner.  She picked up on the concept of walking
nicely on a leash very quickly but will need continued
work and consistency, as any young dog does.  She is
fine in the house but of course will need to adjust to a
new household and will need a refresher course
anywhere she goes.

She is crate trained.  She has been very good about
warning by barking before she goes potty if she's
crated so enough warning is usually given to get her
outside.  She currently respects a 4-5 foot mesh fence
and a fenced yard would definitely be highly
recommended, or another source of confined outlet
for her energy.  She is currently trained to go off
leash but only with the use of a remote training collar.

Missy will be a fun addition to an active family and will
be a constant source of entertainment!  She would be
a wonderful running companion or just a great family
dog!   She requires a home where snuggling is in
abundance...she will lean right in and tuck her muzzle
into your neck if allowed and loves to get under the
covers if allowed into bed!  Missy is hoping for a family
of her own for a fun filled new year and many to
come!

Missy is in foster care in Westerly, RI.
