Meet Max! He is a 3-year-old (will be 4 years in June) neutered male. He is up to date on all his vet work and recently had his teeth cleaned. Max is tri- colored English Setter who has lived with his current owner since he was a puppy. Sadly, his owner has to move to a home without a physical fence. Max is very interested in birds, squirrels, and rabbits, so a securely fenced yard is a must. He is used to being in a fenced yard with a 4-foot fence and has never jumped over the fence. If bored, he will however, dig under and out to go exploring. Max has lots of energy and would love a home where he can go jogging or lead an active outdoor life. He has lived with other dogs his whole life and has never met another dog he doesn’t like. Max has also lived with cats and small children. He has done well with cats, but as with any hunting breed should be supervised around small pets. Max also has a sensitive stomach and needs to be fed only prescription food to prevent vomiting and diarrhea. As long as he has his special food his sensitive stomach needs are controlled with diet. Max is fully crate and house
trained and does well when crated while his owner is at work during the day. He loves to be with people and thinks he is a lap dog! Is Max the dog for you?
