Lexi

Lexi is a beautiful tri-color English Setter who was
pulled from a kill shelter in Kentucky .  Come to find
out, she had some sort of illness and has been
struggling for life and breath for a number of days.
Here are some notes from her caregiver  “I have been
up off and on all night with Lexi - slept with her in her
run.  She just can not get a clear airway unless she is
sitting up and has her head hyperextended and
opens her mouth to open her airway.  She is
exhausted from not being able to sleep - not to
mention the pain and etc.  She gets a few winks when
I can figure out some way to hold her up and allow
her chin to rest.  NO intake other than water.  I don't
think this is an allergic reaction because there is not
any swelling other places - especially the face.  I think
this is swelling in her throat or upper airway - perhaps
tonsils or whatever.  I am taking her back to the Vet.
Lexi is still wagging her tail some!  amazing!  cause I
am NOT wagging mine! “  Lexi has been back to the
vet and we still do not have a diagnosis. This could be
Blasto, or a serious upper respiratory infection or a
very bad case of the canine flu.  Lexi needs all the help
and Prayers that can be summoned to help her
overcome this illness.
Her vet bills to date are close to if not over
$500.  Please make a donation to help cover the
costs of Lexi’s vet bills.  If you can’t help
financially, please include Lexi in your Prayers.
She needs all the help she can get.  Thank you!
