Jill is a very affectionate, adorable 7 month old puppy
that is looking for her forever home for the New
Year. She was a little shy and unsure of new things
when she first came to me, but is now all happy
wiggles and wagging tail, eager to meet everyone,
and investigate something new.
Jill is very calm inside the house, where she loves to
play with dog toys and chew on bones, or watch the
birds and squirrels from the window. She is well
behaved, knows what is hers to play with, but like all
puppies, can occasionally get into mischief if
something new catches her attention. Her favorite
game is to bring me a toy and retrieve it back to me
when I throw it. She follows me everywhere I go,
and loves to curl up in a dog bed or snuggle up in my
lap while I'm watching TV. She has been very good
with my other Setters, and enjoys wrestling with
them and enticing them into a game of chase in the
yard.
Jill does not like staying in a crate, but will tolerate it
for a few hours when I leave the house, although
sometimes will yipe for a while when I leave. I am
trying to get her use to a crate, but I think she would
do best left in a gated off area such as a family room
when left alone rather than a crate. She also has a
tendency to jump up on people for affection or when
playing, and has jumped on me fairly hard sometimes
when she comes running to me out in the yard, but I
am trying to teach her that this is not acceptable
behavior. She is doing very good with her
housebreaking, and I have been letting her out often
during the day to reinforce this. She sleeps quietly all
night beside my bed without needing to go out.
Jill has been spayed, and is up to date with all her
medical, and is ready to go to her new home. This
sweet little girl will make the lucky family that adopts
her very happy.
