Jerry, or Jer Bear as we lovingly call him, is a 7 month
old purebred orange belton. He was one of a litter of
five puppies. Jer Bear is neutered and current on all
of his shots. Jerry tested negative for heartworm
and overall is in excellent health. He is a leggy, lanky
boy weighing 35 pounds and he reminds us of a baby
deer. Jerry is fully housebroken and will get very
excited and animated when he needs to go potty; he
is also crate trained.
Although we don't have cats, Jerry did get along with
the resident cat at his temporary foster home. Jer
Bear is great with other dogs, but might do OK as an
only dog also. Jer Bear loves to play with squeaky
toys and he loves playing in water, yes, that

occasionally includes the water bowl. He enjoys
being outdoors playing with the other dogs or he
can sit quietly and watch for squirrels, chipmunks or
any critter that catches his eye. Comparing Jerry to
other young male dogs I have had in the past, I
honestly feel that Jer Bear has a moderate energy
level. He does not run through the house like a
crazy nut and he has not chewed up anything that
does not belong to him - he truly is a very good boy.

This boy loves human attention and he is more then
happy to accompany you on the couch, chair or bed.
Jerry is so soft and sweet that you won't be able to
help yourself - you will drop what you are doing and
sit down and love on him when he flashes those big
brown eyes at you. If you are looking for a gentle
boy to cuddle and love or perhaps you are looking
for a dog that puts you at the center of his universe,
Jer Bear is your dog. Because of Jerry's gentle
nature, I think he would do very well in a house with
young children, in fact I think he would love the
opportunity to grow up with some kids.

Jerry does require a yard with a barrier of some sort.
A physical fence would be nice, but I am going to
speculate that he would train easily on IF. I base this
speculation on the fact that he does not race my
fence line and for the simple reason that he prefers to
be with people.
Here is a short video of Jerrry playing with his brother
