Bogie was adopted and then returned to the
shelter because he "bothered kids too
much."  Apparently Lee and Ernst's son, Nick,
doesn't seem to be bothered in the least!

Andrew and Tyler.  They live in a log
cabin on 6 acres in Southeastern PA.

Cinnamon lives with the Hampel
family in PA. She spends her summer
on their boat and the rest of the
year in their spacious family home.
Watson (Mulligan) Wensyel
Watson lives with Pat and Bill
Wensyel and his sister Ellie. His
favorite hobby is breaking open
bags of leaves and playing in them.
Pat tells us that Watson makes
them laugh constantly.
Braveheart Wilson
Braveheart has come a long way in
his first year with us.  He has
blossomed in the most spectacular
way!  He looks like quite a different
boy from when he arrived last
summer.  He was totally shut down.

Miss May now lives with her new family
in West Virginia who recently told us:
"May is now "Ruby Tuesday," we
changed her name right after she got
here and she is the best little dog
there is she just stays right with me in
public and is so funny sometimes
what a great match for both of us."
Lyla Buskirk
Lyla's new parents drove halfway to
get her and she is now in her new
home in NJ. Her parents tell us she is
getting along well with their FCR and
the cat and they report that she has
already found where the food is.
Kali (Miss Philly)
Miss Philly, now Kali, is living the with
Reni & Vince in PA. Bonnie, our founder,
recently got a call from Kali's Mom who
said she wanted to return Kali in
2099!!!! Made us all laugh. Kali is so
spoiled there and she knows it already!
Rosie (Millie) Durkin
Little minx Rosie is living in
PA with a wonderful family.
Romeo (Merlin) Marsh
"Romeo seems to fit right in, and he
loves watching "squirrel tv" from our
library windows. Our older setter,
Berkley, used to love to watch squirrel
TV and to chase the squirrels until he
got lymphoma. Romeo will be much

Daisy
Daisy is doing great! She can run
around with her bone in her
mouth all day, which keeps her
out of trouble. Daisy is already
enrolled in obedience school. After
passing obedience school they
are thinking of agility training!
Emmie
"Emmie had a great Christmas and was
spoiled by my whole family. She is
becoming very attached to Jason and
likewise for him too. Emmie is becoming
very protective of her territory (our
yard), and her new family. She's really
coming out of her shell."
Danny Staples-Keschl
"Danny arrived safe and sound. Many
thanks to all involved in his transport. He
is so lovable and follows us everywhere.
We are so pleased. We'll be in touch to
let you know how he is adjusting. His
Nana is staying the week to help him get
used to his new home."

sibling, Mr. Bean.

Kinston is now living in PA with his new
family. Kinston's foster Mom wrote:
"He traveled beautifully, and is so
comfortable with them that he has
even eaten a bit. He also met his new
skin grandparents I’m told, and wowed
them as well. I really think Kinston hit
the jackpot in a forever family!"
CB (Jeeters) Kubrak
We just wanted to thank you for
bring CB to our home. He cried a
little when you left—but is enjoying
us very much. He slept soundly
through the night—and loves to
sit by us and be loved. He is just
so good!! We will take good care
of him—promise.

Alderfer family, including pal
Wrigley. Buddy's Mom tells us
that truly he is happy, just always
the serious fellow for photos.

Buddy Cole
I am so happy with Buddy. He still isn't eating much but
otherwise seems very healthy and active. I plan to start the
training for the fence tomorrow. When he wants to go out in
the early morning he puts his nose or his paw on my bed.
Meara is still sharing her bed with him. Thank you so much.

Luke, now called "Smoochie", is
sharing his life with the Harman

their pets Calvin and Hobbs.

Minnie (Bianca) Gadow
Little minx Minnie traveled all the way from
Alabama to Pennsylvania. Then she was off
to Iowa where she now lives with her
forever family. Minnie's Mom Jane writes:
"Thanks to all of the generous folks who
took time out of their weekend to bring
this little girl to us."
Preston Kahan
"Preston really seems to be at home
here and we are really happy. He
helped us give out Halloween candy
on Friday nite and everyone thought
that he was a handsome boy.
Thanks for helping place him with us.
We are happy and we are sure that
Preston is too. He's a sweet guy that

The dogs pictured here are the LUCKY ones, the ones who have found their forever homes. Sadly, this
is not always the case. All of us who are involved with Above & Beyond English Setter Rescue try our
best to ensure that all the dogs needing a home find their own Happily Setter After family.
