Flap Jack

Hi everyone, I would like to introduce myself. My name
is Flapjack but you can call me Jack. I recently came
back into A&B after being adopted 5 years ago. My
family decided that they just didn't have time to give
me enough attention so I am now looking for another
family to love. My foster mom adores me and said that
she would keep me in a New York minute  but she
already has three dogs and that is enough. She says
that I am the sweetest dog ever! She has fostered a lot
of dogs and she told me I was right there at the top of
the list of keepers. Even though setters are like potato
chips, she told me she was on a strict diet, so this is
where you come in.

I am going to tell you all about myself and then you can
decide if you would like to give me a great home. First
of all, I'm not really an English Setter. I am probably a
Brittany or a Brittany/English Setter mix. I am small for
a setter and I have a docked tail. Mom thinks it's the
cutest little stubby tail when I wag it. I have the same
great personality of a setter but my instincts are
different. My foster mom has always loved Brittanys
and now she has proof how great they are.

I am the worlds best retriever. That right there tells you
I'm not  an English Setter. I don't have much of a prey
drive so I would probably be okay with cats but we
don't have any here so I am not positive. There is a big
green parrot that I have chosen to ignore but
sometimes dream of trying to find if there is a squeaker
in there.

My very, very favorite thing to do is play with my toys. I
love plush toys that have squeakers in them. I will
gently lay them at my mom or dad's feet and then lay
down and look at them. Hopefully they will throw them
and then I will do it all over again. I don't even need
them to throw it. I just want to give them my gift. Mom
will say to me, "Jack, get your bone." And I will lay it on
the bed for her. I am such a good boy. I usually have a
toy where ever I go.

I used to live with a yellow lab male and I currently live
with three female setters. Ugh, they are such divas.
The girls and I run in the yard and lay around the house
and we all get along just great. I'm not a big player
with the other dogs so I would rather just lay with my
mom and dad. Unless they are going to throw that toy
and them I am ready to go.

I sleep in my mom and dad's bedroom on the floor at
night. I don't make a peep. Although I would make a
good guard dog because I will bark when I hear things
outside.  I am house trained and have only peed in the
house once. The very first day. Not bad for a new kid,
right? I like to go for walks. Who doesn't? I am six
years young so I am over all of my crazy days as a
puppy. Although I still have a lot of living to do.
My mom said that she really can't quite figure out why
my people gave me up but their loss was her gain. Darn,
I wish she didn't already have three dogs because I am
settling in here like I have been here all my life. So
please hurry up and put an application in for me.

Oh, and mom said she is really going to be picky on who
gets to adopt me because my next home will be my last.
If you want more info on me just fill out an application
and my mom will tell you everything there is to know.

Jack is currently being fostered in Lancaster, PA.
