Hi! I'm Daisy, a 2 year old, tri-color girl. Foster mom says I'm a
"Super Model" because of my tall, lanky build. I'm spayed,
up-to-date on vaccinations, and weigh about 50 pounds. I'm
also crate- and house-trained, and know "sit", "come", walk fine
on a leash, and ride well in the car. I was turned into a shelter by
a hunter - I guess I wasn't a good huntin' dog. I was
heartworm positive, and boy, was it rough being confined during
the treatment. For the first couple of weeks after the exercise
restriction was over, all I wanted to do was run in the fenced
yard and track birds. Foster mom even composed a song for
me: "Daisy, Daisy, it's running you love, it's true. You're not
lazy, doing the things you do. Flushing birds' your passion, until
you are a crashin'. And you look sweet, when you're asleep, for
a minute or so or two." Well, I'm settling down and getting
better about coming inside when foster mom calls me - I know
that the great outdoors are always going to be there now. I do fine with other dogs and pretty much
ignore cats after a sniff or two - but if they run, I'll chase them just for fun. Now that I'm ready to go to
my fur-ever home, I'm looking for a family that has a fenced yard (with lots and lots of birds flying
around) and will keep me on heartworm preventative so I don't get those nasty parasites again. So if
you fit the bill and are looking for an active dog, please contact the A&B folk.
