Hi, my name is Clark. I am an extremely
handsome tricolor setter of about four years old.
I am up to date on all vaccines and I am healthy.
My weight is about fifty pounds. My face is so
striking, that people always take a second look.
I once had a home with a woman, where I lived with my very best buddy, Lewis. Bad things happen
and my mom lost our home and had to go live in a car. We were sent away from the only life that we
knew, but at least we had each other. A and B promised to help us find a new mom or dad, but right
now we are patiently waiting for someone to love us again. We really miss not having a family to love us.
My mom wanted us to be together always, but she
would be thrilled if we each found our new family at this
point separately. It will be hardest on me, because
Lewis has been strong and has helped me during this
sad time. I am a little less confident than Lewis and like
to take direction from him. I am more submissive than
Lewis.
I am just the sweetest boy in the world.
When I just see someone looking at me, I roll
on my back and wait for belly rubs. I was at a
picnic recently and I just loved everybody
there, men, women and children. Yes, I met a
little girl that I loved. I was awesome meeting
all the fun dogs there too. However, I am
rough with cats, so no cats please.
In the car, I am a gem, and on leash, I am
pretty good. I am a people pleaser. I will do
whatever you want , if you just ask. I sit for
treats and love to shake hands, but most of all I
love to lay belly up, while you scratch forever.
I am crate trained. I am in boarding right now, so
not so sure about housebroken. However, the
kennel manager says I never eliminate where I sleep
on the inside, so she said that I probably am
housebroken or very close.
I am food motivated, so that will make it very
easy to train me anything that you want. Lewis
and I eat together all the time, with no food
aggression. I am on the mellow side compared
to a lot of other setters, preferring people over
birds.
If you give me a chance, I promise not to disappoint you. All I ask is that I can have my own family to love
me again. I will miss Lewis terribly, but I will be happy if he finds a wonderful, loving family also. Thanks for
listening to my story.
Note from foster mom wannabe: Hi, Clark and Lewis were being fostered together until the
foster mom decided not to foster for our group anymore. They were moved to Pennsylvania,
where they are in boarding, until another foster is found or better yet, a forever home. I have
taken these boys to a few events and a picnic only to learn that they are the sweetest boys on the
planet. They are mellow, lay still while being brushed, and just about melt when they are getting
love and attention from adults and children. They sit nice for treats and affection, and crave love.
With other dogs, they are wonderful also. The more time I spend with them, the more I fall in love
with these two boys. Taking them back to boarding breaks my heart as I drive away with them
watching me leave. I have cats or else these boys would be my fosters or I would adopt them
both. That is how wonderful they are. They are too wonderful to not have their own home. If
you are looking for the most even tempered, sweet, calm and adorable companions possible,
please consider one of these boys....
