Hi, I am Billy. I am 2 years old, so I am sometimes
called “Wild Bill,” because I love to have a good time. I
am a breeder release from SC and my foster mom says
that I am a Southern gentleman most of the time. I
am crate trained and I have never had an accident in
the house. I rarely bark even when one of my foster
brothers is swearing that he is starving to death I will
bark if I really need to go out in the morning. I love
my foster brothers and sister and I adore setter tag. I
am always up for playing a game or tug of war.
I am a very birdy boy and I show a lot of potential if
someone is wanting to train a young dog for the field.
I am young so I need a safe fenced yard where I can
run steam off daily. I also love having a swimming
pool, and I am quite puzzled if it turns into “hard
water,” as a daily lap or two is just part of my energy
drain.
I was very prey driven when I got to my foster home,
and I have spent a considerable time with cats passing
by my crate. I am now safe if Mom is in the room, but
I forget if they run away from me. So I am not allowed
to be loose with them unattended. I also forget and
point them if they are sitting in the window, when I
am outside. I also enjoy hunting opossums and
squirrels too.
I am quite calm when I get enough exercise, and I will
share pillows to sleep with my people. I don’t hog the
bed either. Mom has a concern about my safety with a
four-foot fence as I am very agile and could clear it
with no trouble, I have never tried to, but if the right
prey were on the other side, it would be a possibility.
I would do well with older children, I am just a little
too active for young children right now. I walk well on
an easy walk harness and I love agility equipment if
someone has a desire to compete in agility. Please look
for updates soon, especially pictures, as Mom is still
trying to get a shot of me that is not a blur.
Billy is in foster are in Columbia, MO.
